Funding message from the Chair, AGM 2012

Our main funding comes from South Gloucestershire Council with whom we have an SLA or Service Level Agreement – they say what they want done and we do it. This has just been renewed for a further 3 years. They also pay us an amount for every passenger carried and therefore in this time of economic uncertainty it is very important that the buses are run as efficiently as possible – that is carrying as many passengers as possible at any one time. In airline parlance that means it is down to “Bums on Seats”.

Notice of AGM, 7 June 2012

The Annual General Meeting will take place in the Watkins Room, The Old Grammar School, Chipping Sodbury.  The meeting will commence at 2pm. As well as presenting their reports and the accounts, the Officers and Management Committee will be on hand to answer any questions.

Funding changes - £1 per return journey

As of Tuesday 1st May 2012, we will be charging £1.00 per return journey due to financial changes to our funding.

The fares will be collected by the driver on the outward journey. It will be helpful if all passengers could have exact payment ready as change will not always be available.

Thanking you in anticipation for your support.

Yate, Sodbury & District Community Transport is changing its name and image!!

As an organisation committed to providing Community Transport to those unable to use public transport, we are always aware of the financial restraints to our operation, when funding becomes limited and restrictive.

We continually look for alternative and additional funding through sponsorship, grants and donations, but in many cases the fact that our current name is specific to only a part of the area we cover, this prevents or discourages additional financial support.
