I am a young disabled lady who is also a mum to a six year old. I am not sure how I would manage to " live a normal life" without the ongoing transport support that Green Community Travel offer myself and many other disabled or elderly residents of South Gloucestershire. I don't have any family locally, and I have not been able to drive for 3 years. I rely on Green Community Travel for getting to hospital for treatment, or helping me do a family shop. My son and I often use it in the holidays, it helps me do more and go more places.   I am often not well enough to manage buses as the extra help and support offered by the drivers  and the door to door service is invaluable to elderly or disabled people. 
 

Our band Concert for the elderly last Wednesday went very well indeed and many of the people using your mini buses were very complimentary about the service provided. Friendly and helpful drivers, punctual and efficient were typical remarks.

I have been working with GCT for the past 3 years now. My role as Passenger Assistant is to ensure the children travelling on our bus to school are safe and well behaved!  I like my job because I can see the positive effect working with these young children has.

I have noticed how much of a difference the service really makes. The service users are always saying how grateful they are that we accommodate them and how nice it is that we organise trips, as it is here they get a chance to go places and make friends.
