    *Please note:  Due to a high number of cancellations on the day of our outings, we are now taking payment for the trips when we call you to confirm your pickup time. This is non-refundable and you will not be able to put the credit towards any future trips.  Exceptional circumstances would need to be authorised by the office.  Pre orders for food may also be needed *

    What do I need to do?
    Call us on 01454 228706 to register your interest in a trip.  You can put your name down for as many as you like but it is not guaranteed you will get on all trips you have put your name down for.

    *Please note: Due to increased demand we cannot guarantee we can get passenger on their first choice of a trip* 

    What will we do?
    We will call you about a week before the trip to let you know if you are on that particular trip.  We will make sure the selection is fair, so everyone has an opportunity to go on at least one trip.  If a trip is over-subscribed, we will see if we can run it again on another day to give those that couldn’t get on another opportunity.
     
    Day trips have different charges for each trip, as detailed above.  (Non-bus pass holders will be charged an extra £2).  Carer’s fare £4.50 (must have C on bus-pass)

    We are holding a quiz night to help raise funds for a new minibus. All are welcome, in teams of 6, £2 per person on the night.

    Our wonderful quizmaster Mark will be giving our brains a workout on the 10th of October at the fabulous Old Sodbury Village Hall, the doors will open at 7pm and the quiz is due to start at 7:30pm. There is even a raffle too.

    Help Tell The Story of Community Transport

    We are currently applying for funding to help keep our Community Transport service running and growing. One of the most powerful ways we can show how important the service is by sharing the experiences of the people who use it.

    We can explain what Community Transport does, but your stories show the real difference it makes. By telling us why your journeys matter, what would happen if you couldn’t make them, and why other forms of transport aren’t suitable, you’ll help funders understand the impact this service has on people’s lives.

    If you could spare just five minutes to answer the questions, we’d be incredibly grateful. Please click the link below to fill out our questionnaire online.

    If you’d prefer a written option, printed copies are available on our buses; you can return your completed questionnaire to one of our drivers, email your answers to us, or simply give us a call.

    Hospital Shuttle Bus (pilot scheme) – ENDED –

    GCT Hospital Shuttle Bus 2026:

    We are very pleased to announce we have been successful in our grant application for a pilot of a Hospital Shuttle Bus!

     
    Our hospital bus will be running 1 day a week thanks to a grant from The National Lottery.

    This will go to and from Southmead Hospital, door to door, to help our members get to their crucial hospital appointments.


    You can either give us a call or email us to find out the dates.

    A guideline for timings are:

    • Arrive 9am – Depart 9:15am
    • Arrive 11am – Depart 11:15am
    • Arrive 1:30pm – Depart 1:45pm
    • Arrive 3pm – Depart 4pm


    If we have a second driver :
    Timings will increase to:

    • Arrive 9am – Depart 09:15am
    • Arrive 10am – Depart 10:15am
    • Arrive 11am – Depart 11:15am
    • Arrive 12noon – Depart 12:15pm
    • Arrive 1:30pm – Depart 01:45pm
    • Arrive 2:30pm – Depart 02:45pm
    • Arrive 3pm – Depart 4pm
    • Arrive 4pm – Depart 5pm


    If you wish to join us to only use this service exclusively, the cost of membership is only £5.


    The fare for the journey will be £15, this is for a door to door return
    journey     with our fully accessible minibus’.


    We are here for anyone that cannot access public transport, this could be due to mobility, age, location, availability of services. If you’re not sure if you can qualify to use us please give us a call we are always happy to discuss with you and answer any questions.

    June was the last month for our hospital shuttle bus.

    Sadly, it wasn’t well used enough for us to apply for further funding. It was really helpful for us whilst it did run & we have learnt a lot from this trial. We have gained a super driver who is happy to group passengers together for a bus when we have those very busy days.

    We are really grateful for your support with the pilot and we still think it was a valuable thing to do. We wanted to conduct this exercise to see if it could work and sometimes things do, sometimes they don’t! but we are always learning.
